Seasons - A Poem and A Pic

Thank you, Oh Lord, for the sounds of summer
the kids playing and laughing
the birds chirping
humming lawnmowers
and easy tree breezes --

people fixing up their houses and yards
the evening train signals
and then there is that lovely,
gentle,
quiet

Thank you, Oh Lord, for the sounds of summer

The sights are wonderful, too!

the sun that slowly fades away
the basketball hoops, the baseball mits, the skateboards
the leaves on the trees in all their splendor
and bright green grass of suburban yards
that green grass
it calls me
to plant my toes in it!

Thank you, Oh Lord, for this beautiful day!
